Would you like to write for Bourgeon, or have your work featured?

Bourgeon is a community forum that publishes artists’ writing about their work. We rarely publish articles about work that has already happened. The interest of our readers is to hear about your process. How are you doing what you are doing? Whom are you doing it with? Why are you doing it? What are your greatest challenges? What are you learning? What are you enjoying?

Bourgeon has several ongoing programs that guide the material we publish:

In Their Own Words features are the core of the publication. They are artist written previews of works under development.

Local History features document community and community members.

Education features document developments, issues, and ideas from within the arts education community.

Production features document issues and ideas in the production of art.

Technique features consider specific issues and ideas of a given technique, or about technique in general.
