Thomson's Moonlit Traveler
For auction is an original signed framed print by Helga Thomson. Thomson was born in Buenos Aires and studied printmaking with masters in South America, Europe, and the United States. Her mysterious and evocative prints have been shown widely, including at Gallery Neptune, the Argentine Biennial of Latin American Prints, the Winckelman Gallery in Germany and others. Six of her works were selected by the the curator emeritus of El Museo del Barrio in New York for a recent show at the Arlington Art Center (“Art with Accent”.)

Judy Byron’s solo exhibitions include Artists + Communities curated by Angela Adams at the National Museum of Women in the Arts with participation in group exhibitions such as Picturing Politics curated by Rex Weil, Art Against AIDS curated by Ann Philbin, and as one of the “Sweet Sixteen” selected by Mera Rubell. Dave Peterson is a printmaker, illustrator, graphic designer and proprietor of BrandDave.com, where he purveys all of the above, plus a line of fabulous quirky screen-printed t-shirts. His prints often feature a droll menagerie of animals whose insecurities and pretensions reflect our own. Dave shows as part of Mid-City artists in DC and has exhibited work at Studio 4903, Artomatic and the Ellipse Art Center.

Ruth Trevarrow is the Registrar of Traveling Exhibits at the Smithsonian Institution which provides her both with a regular income and entrée to the resources of the Smithsonian, including the collection of marine mammal bones stored there. She draws inspiration from these palpable traces of our dwindling natural world. Ruth’s work has been seen at the District of Columbia Art Center, Warehouse Gallery, Watkins Gallery of American University and more. She has a solo show coming this Spring at the Atheneum in Alexandria, VA.
