Very interesting article. Haven't seen a camera like that except in old pictures! That photograph of the water is beautiful, and sad, somehow.

I had to come back and comment on this again, because it really stayed with me and I felt that as a dancer with a degree and an educator, you simultaneously captured how I've gotten to this point in my life and why I educate.

I've realized from reading this that I don't want fear to be a motivator in pursuing dance - the fear of "I don't know if I've done enough with my career, therefore I'm afraid to do something else." I want the love of the art to be my motivator. This has really helped me come to terms with my own fears.

I teach dance, not just to teach steps, but out of a want to inspire and empower the next generation. Dance class can teach the discipline and social skills that many kids have very little of due to increased use of technology as a communication medium. If you’re only teaching the steps, you’re missing the point.

I hope you will include private/independent schools when you distribute the book.
They often have the largest and most active arts programs in the area. The dance programs at the independent schools are particularly strong and would benefit from having this wonderful resource you are creating. Good luck in this endeavor.
